The sky's the limit when decorating your child's room. Or maybe the Milky Way, if you decide to paint a star-drenched solar system on your little one's ceiling.
While decorating your child's room can and should be a wonderful opportunity to indulge your passion for fantasy, the bottom-line basics should still come first, says Lisa S. Brock, owner of Lisa Brock Designs in Alexandria.
"A real analysis of the specific space you want to decorate is one of those basics that should be done whenever a project is started," Ms. Brock says.
