The Solid State Mission Data Recorder (SSMDR) is the first in a new line of SSMDRs designed for use in military and aerospace markets for airborne testing or data recording for tactical-weapons pods, such as LANTIRN and TARPS. The unit weighs less than nine pounds, measures 8.7x6x3.75 in. and consumes less than 50 W. The SSMDR also carries a warranted 10,000 mean times between failures.
