Sun Microsystems Forms Partnership with Electronic Data Systems.

Jul. 17--Electronic Data Systems and Sun Microsystems said Monday that they will jointly market their computer products and information technology services.

The companies expect the agreement to generate $3 billion in sales over the next five years as they offer customized computer solutions to global corporations.

EDS, based in Plano, will provide information technology services including consulting and outsourcing. Sun, based in Palo Alto, Calif., will provide customers with computer and server hardware and software.
