According to Darren C. Melhuish of Corrpro Companies, Inc., Norfolk Va., there's more to successfully coating seawater ballast tanks than simply finding a "better paint." It involves a number of interdependent critical steps. Each is a quality assurance checkpoint that must be correctly addressed before proceeding to the next.
Without adequate lighting and proper ventilation, production, and quality, will suffer. Dehumidification may be beneficial and will generally be necessary to prevent "sweating" from condensation if the tank surfaces are below the waterline.
