TRINITY -- A propane truck smashed into a garage Thursday, causing a gas leak and $5,000 damage.
An AmeriGas tanker truck started rolling when driver Karl Christopher Anderson removed a tire chock, according to a report by Randolph County sheriff's deputies. The wheel injured Anderson's right hand as it rolled into the corner of the garage at a home at 5679 Riverside Acres Court. Anderson had finished filling the LP gas tank.
Paramedics took Anderson, 42, to High Point Regional Hospital, where he was listed in good condition. Hazardous-materials crews arrived to contain a propane leak in the truck.
