Pratt & Whitney Canada Completes the First Flight of an Upgraded UH-1 Huey Helicopter Equipped With the New PT6C-67D.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, USA, FEBRUARY 14, 2002

Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) has successfully completed the first flight test of a UH-1 Huey helicopter equipped with a PT6C-67D engine. The event took place at Global Helicopter Technology, Inc.'s facility at Arlington Airport, Arlington, Texas on Friday, November 16, 2001. The flight test is part of an engine upgrade development program, which will be certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), targeting operators of UH-1 Huey helicopters as announced by P&WC at HAI earlier this year.
