Following several years of research, Hydro Agri has launched a new fertilizer that has been tailored for grassland applications. Marketed as Top Stock 25-5-5+Na+Se, the new product contains sodium and selenium to correct crop deficiencies and improve grass yields, animal health, milk quality and live weight gain. Hydro Agri researchers noted that low levels of sodium are present in UK and other European grassland, and this -- combined with high losses in the milk -- meant that lactating dairy cows were particularly prone to sodium deficiency when out at pasture.
