What part does the Rotem-Amfert Group play within the overall Israel Chemicals group?
ICL has been moving consistently from a focus on raw materials for the fertilizer and chemical industries to a focus on downstream and added value products. This strategy led to the formation of the Rotem-Amfert Group, as the fertilizer division of Israel Chemicals, focusing on fertilizers as a leading product, which enables the ICL group to upgrade the potash and phosphate raw materials at its disposal. During the past 15 years, fertilizer sales have grown from 10% of ICL turnover to 25% of turnover.
