Jan. 29--A farmer's practices on land near Jim Roesner's home at 3216 E. North has him crying foul -- as in the smell of human waste being applied as fertilizer less than a half-mile away.
Roesner said he has talked with the landowner, Dan King, 1190 Columbine Circle, and King is unwilling to stop applying the substance to his land.
The land is located just north of North Street and east of Marymount Road, between the city wastewater treatment plant and the Salina County Club. Roesner said he had no choice but to file a lawsuit in Saline County District Court in hopes of putting ...
