The Minolta Flash Meter VI reads continuous and strobe light sources in average and ambient metering modes. In addition, there is also a 1-degree spot capability, and the meter can display all readings simultaneously for on-screen comparisons.
The built-in spot meter uses an optical view system for a very bright image area, and there are provisions for entering latitude data for the recording medium as well as the final media. Thus, in one meter display, the photographer can see all the critical readings necessary for determining proper exposure as well as how much of the scene exceeds various recording latitudes.
