Sharp-Roxy launches mini-disc recorders

SHARP-ROXY Sales & Service has launched the MD-SR70W, a portable mini-disc recorder, and the MD-MX30W, a MD compact component system player.
The two models are made locally by the company at its Sungai Petani plant in Kedah.
"The models use MD, which is the newest and advance audio format to date that is expected to replace conventional audio cassette tapes," said Sharp-Roxy's managing director Kiyoshi Yasumoto.
The MD is a small magneto-optical disc that is capable or recording and playing back 74 minutes of digital audio.
