CHICAGO, IL - January 16, 2003 - Alacritude, LLC - publisher of eLibrary.com (www.elibrary.com) and Encyclopedia.com (www.encyclopedia.com) -- announced today the appointment of Rich Kreisman as vice president of business development, effective immediately.

Kreisman brings a 15-year proven track record of generating revenue by developing successful strategic alliances and content partnerships for major online, print and database publishing companies. Most recently, he was vice president of business development at iSyndicate and vice president of business development at Thomson's Gale Group. Kreisman also served as vice president of product management of Avenue Technologies, which was subsequently sold to Bell & Howell Information and Learning. He has served as a consultant for Headland Digital Media and Pearson, and he's held various product management positions at publishing and consultancy companies, as well as editorial positions at Business Week, Advertising Age and Inc. magazines.

In this new position, Kreisman will be responsible for all of Alacritude's revenue generating activities, such as managing all major online strategic partnerships as well as Alacritude's affiliate program which supports subscription acquisition. In his new role, he will also be charged with creating new sources of e-commerce and sponsorship revenue, and he will supervise the company's major content relationships.
