CHICAGO - JANUARY 24, 2005 - HighBeam™ Research, Inc., operator of an online research engine for individuals ( www.highbeam.com) that fills the gap between free search engines and high-end information services, today announced that The New York Times is sponsoring the HighBeam Research Anniversary Open House event. Starting today and ending Friday, January 29, HighBeam Research is celebrating its first anniversary by offering free access to its premium sources and research tools.
HighBeam Research, which began selling advertising on the HighBeam Research Engine in October, 2004, is positioning The New York Times brand on all of the Anniversary Open House promotions on the HighBeam Research Engine. In addition, a majority of the HighBeam Research banner advertisement inventory will be allocated to The New York Times, giving them a dominant presence throughout the service and allowing them to take advantage of the increase in visitors and usage that HighBeam Research is expecting as a result of the free week.
