In Knoxville, Tenn., contractors, equipment distributors and industry associations joined forces recently to give more than 1,800 students a look at the career opportunities in the construction field.
Interest in construction as a career is alive and well in eastern Tennessee, if the response to the recent Tennessee Construction Career Days event is any indication.
More than 1,800 students from throughout eastern Tennessee attended the Career Days festivities, held at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville, Tenn. During the event, participants had the opportunity to talk with representatives of construction companies and with numerous individuals who are working in the construction field while also enjoying up-close looks at a variety of construction machines. …
