Actel's one million system-gate A3P1000 ProASIC3 supports implementation of a soft ARM7 processor core. The single-chip requires no external boot prom or microcontroller to support device programming, and the Level-0 live at power-up feature eliminates the need for an external CPLD. Stand-by current consumption is 8 mA under typical conditions, and the device contains 1,024 bits (128 bits X 8 pages) of on-chip user nonvolatile flash memory and an on-board phase-locked loop (PLL). …
