New Scale Technologies announced the addition of a smaller, lower-power module to its SQL-M line of SQUIGGLE micro-actuator modules. Each module incorporates a piezoelectric SQUIGGLE motor with optical limit switches in a compact polymer housing. The SQL-M-1.8 micro-actuator module measures 13.5 mm X 4.2 mm X 4.3 mm, and it uses approximately 300 mW when moving. It is self-locking and uses zero power to hold its position. …
